About Q — Through My Eyes
I’m Summer, Q’s wife. We’ve been together for 16 years, and if there’s one thing I know for certain, it’s this: when Q sets his mind to something, he gives it everything—and he always surprises you with the results.
Q has worked in the food industry for over 20 years. He was once the Head of Brand Management for one of the world’s top five dairy companies, and he led the food service operations for the 29th Olympic Games. He’s competed in two Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie (World Cup of Baking), and he founded a line of Asian-inspired sauces that quickly earned a loyal following.
Today, Q is a seasoned investor in Asian food ventures, but what he truly loves most is photography.
That’s why I built this website—secretly at first—as a gift. It’s a home for the work he’s created over the years, and a space for what’s to come. Q has photographed menus and dishes for some of the most recognized restaurant chains. His food photography has been featured in cookbooks by award-winning chefs, and still appears in restaurants across the country. He’s also helped founders of kitchenware brands and retail food startups bring their visions to life through imaginative, product-centered imagery. Even a few of his short food documentaries have picked up awards along the way.
Now that we’ve made our home in Los Angeles, I hope Q can spend more time doing what he loves—and I hope more people get to experience the heart he puts into every frame.
